John Baylis, Marketing Director at Direct Sign Wholesale, writes about the difference of day/night channel letters in the April Edition of Sign & Digital Graphics trade magazine. The article is titled, “Channel Lighting Techniques, Day and Night Difference” (Read the Full Article). The definition of a day/night channel letter sign may be simple, which is a sign that uses two different colors–one during the day, a second at night. The variables to consider when discussing a day/night channel letter sign with your customers may not be as simple as the definition. However, informative articles such as the one Baylis recently authored are helpful when communicating to customers about the distinct options now available. With today’s new vinyl and illumination technology a customer can produce a channel letter sign that is not only visibly compelling, but also very effective for both the day and night. Baylis writes about the variables when discussing a day/night channel letter sign. In addition to his informative outline approach, he also provides images that are insightful when covering each topic. In the article, Baylis highlights the importance of light management film, choosing the correct LED color, perforated vinyl (dual-color light management film), acrylic colors and films, and explains in detail what is diffuser film.
